Character Princess Ai

OH. EM. GEE. I finally finished colouring this drawing! Only took me eight freakin' years to do it. I'm still not totally sure what it is, but finishing art is kind of a fear of mine. Finishing anything is really. SO, this was sort of an experiment for myself. To finish something.
Going to start finishing a lot of things for posterity's sake, gil durnit!
If I can make a habit of finishing little projects like this that I created, then what's to stop me from finishing things like an associates degree.
Freakin' baby steps man.
Hopefully with the start of this I can post a lot more on here. I really want to show you guys what I can do.
And now a word about our subject:
I actually started colouring this maybe four or five years ago...just the base lighter colours. I finished her hair then too. This colouring style was a mile stone for me really. What with the shading and blending and such. I accidentally made her wings too red, so that's what made me stop.
Then I just said eff that and continued on with my patch job, like, two days ago. =w=
I had to move back to my mom's though, so I couldn't find my 48 count prismacolours and just about died using just the 10 primary and secondary colours for this. THEN I dropped my red and the tip broke and I couldn't find a sharpener and that...oh man that was a struggle.
BUT! I finished!!!!! and it looks great if I do say so myself.
So old though...
Also, this is the orignial lineart I put up here AGES ago :.: princess ai :.: and a little shout out to HalloThereItsMe and rayuzaki cuz I coloured it like you said I should!
Also, here's the other Princess Ai drawing I did, Half'n'Half pretty proud of it really.

the fear to complete something is most likely tied to a fear of failure, just a thought
